The capital of the world's oldest kingdom, this beautiful city is divided by canals & sewn together by a network of bridges, creating a warm tapestry of green parks, lively squares and exquisite royal palaces, fringed by the cooling waters of the Baltic Sea. Copenhagen is fantastic place for lovers of museums, from toys to international works of art(especially the Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek, with its Egyptian, Roman, French and Danish golden Age paintings & sculptures). Parks too are plentiful, the most well-known being the Tivoli Gardens, which includes Amusements, cafes, restaurants and open Aircrafts. You may want to see the Changing of the guard at the Amalienborg Palace, taking place daily at noon in the square, or to gaze out over the harbour with Hans Christian Andersen's mermaid. |
